Short description

Sammo Law spins, kicks, and chops his way through crime as a one-man police force in Los Angeles. He's a tough law enforcer who comes to the U.S. in search of a former friend and protegée — and gets drafted as part of the LAPD.

What's left behind the scenes

In the first episode of the first season, Sammo Hung's character is asked where he learned to fight like that, to which he replies: "At the Peking Opera School." In reality, Sammo Hung is one of the "seven lucky" graduates of the Peking Opera School.
According to an article in Black Belt Magazine (an American magazine dedicated to martial arts), the production of each episode of the series cost $2 million. Upon the completion of the second season, CBS executives offered Sammo Hung a role in the third season (the actor played police officer Sammo Lo), but Hung stated that he would not appear without seeing the full script for the third season. According to Hung, the screenwriter hired for the second season had turned his character into a mere fighting machine. After his refusal, the series was canceled.
