What's left behind the scenes
- Director and writer Cooper Smith Goodwin (known by the pseudonym Gooseworx) stated that she borrowed the idea for the animated series from Harlan Ellison's 1967 short story 'I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream'.
- Show creator Gooseworx was inspired by the anime Popee the Performer, the computer game The Stanley Parable, as well as old video game intros and toys from her childhood.
- The series' music was inspired by composer Bo En and his work on the soundtrack for the video game Snipperclips.
