What's left behind the scenes

Mia McKenna-Bruce (who played Eileen Brent) broke her leg during filming. She was replaced by her sister, actress Ellis McKenna-Bruce, as her stunt double.
The main character lives in a country house called "Chimneys." It is believed to be based on a real mansion in Greater Manchester (a ceremonial and metropolitan county in England). After World War II, the mansion became the property of one of the writer's relatives, and she herself frequently visited. Biographers of Agatha Christie (who is credited as a screenwriter) claimed that she often described this very mansion in her novels, albeit under different names.
