What's left behind the scenes
- The idea for an Ashura spin-off occurred to the writers while working on the third season of the project "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" (2010-2013).
- Writer, producer, and showrunner Steven S. DeKnight stated during the 2025 San Diego Comic-Con International—an annual non-profit multi-genre entertainment and comic book industry festival—that the concepts for the next series have already been thought out, and that work is underway on several ("four or five") spin-offs, the fate of which depends entirely on the success or failure of the project "Spartacus: House of Ashur."
