Short description

What's left behind the scenes
- NBC decided to cancel the series due to low ratings. As a result, only 13 of the planned 20 episodes of the third season were filmed.
- Roy Scheider disliked the direction the project began to take in the second season and requested to be released from his contractual obligations. To some extent, his request was granted, and he appeared in only three episodes of the third season.
- It was originally intended that the series would realistically depict the near future. However, when the ratings turned out to be significantly lower than expected, the project was allowed to move toward the fantasy genre, and it began to include stories about aliens, lost civilizations, and even the Roman deity Neptune.
