What's left behind the scenes

  • Filming took place in a long-defunct courthouse. When the project's creators found the building, it had been used only for Halloween for several years, and the interior was full of debris, which the "haunted house" decor had turned into over time. The building had to be restored, repaired, and furnished accordingly.
  • About 100 people worked on the series, but the main character only saw "three camera operators, a producer, and a couple of sound engineers."
  • Ronald applied for the project after seeing an advertisement on Craigslist recruiting people willing to play jury members. At the time, he was unemployed.
  • Before the protagonist discovered that the entire series was a carefully choreographed performance with no connection to reality, he had confessed his feelings for the character played by Maria Russell.
  • The other actors were simply playing jurors, but when interacting with Ronald, they tried to behave as convincingly as possible. Sometimes they even shared true stories from their own lives, and they all spent time together after the filming day ended.
  • A significant portion of the series consisted of improvisation made up on the fly, although some actors were given earpieces for prompts and directions.
