Short description

After foiling Cruella DeVil's plot to make a fur coat with the puppies' skins, the Dearly Family (Roger and Anita Dearly, Nanny, Pongo, Perdita, their 15 birth puppies and 84 adopted puppies) move to a new farm home in the country. Join Pongo and Perdy's pups, brave Lucky, tubby Rolly and Cadpig the runt, together with their chicken friend Spot, as they defend their new home from Cruella DeVil (Anita's boss and now new neighbor), continually get in and out of trouble, sneak into Grutely, and have all sorts of crazy adventures around the farm. Also along for the fun is Tripod, Patch, Two-Tone, Wizzer, Dipstick, Mooch, and the rest of their barnyard friends.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Color errors are quite common in the series. In some scenes, the Dalmatians with red collars briefly have blue ones, and vice versa for those with blue collars. For example, in the episode "Love and Fleas," in the scene where Dipstick wants to spit "over the barn, across the cornfield, right between the eyes of the scarecrow," as he puts it, Wither sits there looking sullen and, if you look closely, his collar has turned blue like Dipstick's. In the episode "The De Villes," in the scene where Anita drives away from Roger in the station wagon, Pongo's collar becomes blue and Paddy's becomes red like Pongo's; this specifically refers to the movie 101 Dalmatians, where Paddy had a red collar and Pongo had a blue one. Additionally, in some wide shots, both of Two-Tone's ears are white, although they should be black. For example, in the episode "The Psychic and the Losses" when the puppies are discussing Button's first prediction. Similarly, in some scenes, Dipstick's black left ear becomes white.
  • Animation errors occur quite frequently in the series. In some scenes, the puppies' black ears turn white, while in others, the red and blue collars switch colors.
  • In the episode "Kind Stervela," when Stervela's kind half is surrounded by animals, a warthog can be seen next to her, resembling Pumbaa from "The Lion King" (1994) in appearance and coloring.
  • Cecil De Vil, Stervela's brother, looks very similar to the Genie from the movie "Aladdin" (1992), as his skin has a bluish tint. Cecil also has the same hairstyle as the Genie.
  • "Ivy" translates to "плющ" in Russian.
  • Due to the events of September 11, 2001, at the World Trade Center in New York, the episode 'Safe and Sound' is no longer broadcast because of a scene where Quoka loses control of a homemade plane and flies into a puppy food tower. According to Disney, the scene in this episode closely resembled the real-life 2001 New York aviation disaster and the subsequent collapse of the Twin Towers. The episode 'Movie Star Dog' was also pulled from broadcast. However, some scenes from these episodes remain in the opening credits.
  • In the episode "Dalmatian Vacations Part 2: Dangerous Route," during the scene where Stervela, Horace, and Jasper are walking along the highway after losing the truck, a passing van can be seen painted with flowers, similar to the Mystery Machine from the Scooby-Doo cartoons, although their colors are different.
  • In one of the episodes, Gil Bates says he would like to get a 13th-century railway carriage. However, railways did not appear until the 18th century.
  • In episodes 13a, "The Disc Broke Loose," and 13b, "Eat and Ignore Everyone," there is a laugh track after Knopka's lines. Evidently, the creators of the animated series later abandoned the idea of using a laugh track.
