Short description

After moving to a new town with her stressed-out parents and relentlessly popular little sister, Daria uses her acerbic wit and keen powers of observation to contend with the mind-numbingly ridiculous world of Lawndale High.

What's left behind the scenes

In episode 2-06, Daria and Jane go to the cinema for a retrospective screening of the film 'The Last Supper,' filmed in 1930 by the Russian director Andrei Zakharinsky. In reality, no such film ever existed.
In the 4th episode of the 3rd season, the principal, Miss Lee, says: 'Children, we have a school dance in two weeks. We have special security measures in place, so if anyone is dreaming of sneaking in a bucket of pig's blood—forget about it immediately.' This is a reference to Stephen King's novel 'Carrie'.
At the end of each episode, during the final credits, the series' characters can be seen depicted as other characters.
In episode 1-01, Helen Morgendorffer mentions High Land (where, according to Daria, the water contains uranium)—which is the only reference to the fact that Daria appeared in the series 'Beavis and Butt-Head' (1993-2012).
