What's left behind the scenes

The dog that played Betty had previously appeared in Craig Gillespie's crime comedy "Cruella" (2021).
In the books by Karin Slaughter (who became one of the writers), which served as the literary basis for the project, it is stated that Will Trent (played by Ramon Rodriguez) struggles with reading due to dyslexia. Dyslexia is a selective impairment in the ability to acquire reading and writing skills while maintaining a general capacity for learning. It can be congenital or acquired. It is the most common learning disorder, affecting 20-25% of the total population. Trent, for example, uses a voice recorder instead of a notebook at crime scenes.
The series takes place in Atlanta, but all the police officers wear Los Angeles Police Department badges.
