The house interiors were built in studio pavilions, while the exterior shots of the house were computer-generated.
Rowan Atkinson mentioned that he enjoyed working on the script, but disliked the filming process itself, which took place at the height of COVID-19 restrictions. To make matters worse, one of the crew members contracted COVID, forcing Atkinson to spend two weeks in quarantine.
A Jaguar E-Type sports car was specially assembled for the filming. After production ended, Rowan Atkinson bought it.
Household appliances from the German company Miele are shown on screen. In Italian, 'miele' means 'honey'.
