What's left behind the scenes
- In one interview, producer Tiffani Thiessen (Brodesser-Akner) mentioned that many of the actors involved in the project got their roles due to their popularity as teenagers and young adults.
- In one episode, Jesse Eisenberg's character correctly diagnoses a character played by Julie Tolivar, despite the fact that no one had been able to diagnose her correctly before. This plot point is based on something that once happened to Tiffani Brodesser-Akner herself.
