Short description
The high commander of an alien expedition lands on Earth -- what he considers to be the least-important planet -- in human form as Dick Solomon. Along for the ride are his alien compatriots Harry, Sally and Tommy -- who is the eldest of the group but is now angrily trapped in a teen's body.

What's left behind the scenes
- Some of the monologues and lines for John Lithgow's character were written by theoretical physicist Brian Greene.
- The three main male characters of the sitcom are named Tom, Dick, and Harry. According to Brewster's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable, the expression "Tom, Dick and Harry" serves as a synonym for "any person" or "a group of people," often referring to ordinary people who are nothing special.
- Due to falling ratings, it was decided to cancel the series at the end of the 6th season in April 2001.
- Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and Bob Odenkirk, members of the cast of the series "Breaking Bad" (2008-2013), appeared as guest stars in the sitcom.
