Short description

Sick, twisted, politically incorrect and Freakin' Sweet animated series featuring the adventures of the dysfunctional Griffin family. Bumbling Peter and long-suffering Lois have three kids. Stewie (a brilliant but sadistic baby bent on killing his mother and taking over the world), Meg (the oldest, and is the most unpopular girl in town) and Chris (the middle kid, he's not very bright but has a passion for movies). The final member of the family is Brian - a talking dog and much more than a pet, he keeps Stewie in check whilst sipping Martinis and sorting through his own life issues.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The show is banned from broadcasting in Indonesia, Vietnam, Iran, Taiwan, South Korea, South Africa, and Malaysia.
  • George Lucas, a big fan of the series, officially gave the show's creators permission to use jokes related to the Star Wars franchise.
  • Seth MacFarlane admitted that the mistreatment of Meg by the other family members was a result of the fact that 'a bunch of guys—the writers—have no idea how to write about girls or for girls'.
  • For Peter Griffin's voice, Seth MacFarlane tried to imitate the voice of a security guard from his own college years.
  • Meg's friends assumed her name was short for "Megan," but her official name was Megatron Griffin.
  • When voicing Brian, Seth MacFarlane simply spoke in his normal voice. Furthermore, MacFarlane shares both Brian's political views and his atheistic outlook.
