- The plot is based on a true story that took place in the 1980s. Out of jealousy, a seemingly exemplary Texas housewife killed her best friend with an axe.
- Filming for "Love & Death" began before production started on the miniseries "Candy" (2022). Filming for "Candy" wrapped slightly before that of "Love & Death".
