What's left behind the scenes
- As early as 1997, Todd Graff, with the participation of Danny DeVito, wrote the screenplay for the film "The Crowded Room." James Cameron was originally intended to direct. Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, Colin Farrell, and other actors expressed interest in the lead role, some of whom Milligan consulted personally. In March 2015, it was announced that the role went to Leonardo DiCaprio, who had sought to play it for 20 years, that Jason Smithwright would write the script, and that the actor's company, Appian Way, would handle production. It is known that filming took place in February 2016, but the project was subsequently abandoned. In April 2021, it was announced that "The Crowded Room" would become a television series rather than a film.
