What's left behind the scenes

Initially, the project was to be titled "Voltaire" after the educational institution, but it was later decided to call it "Mixed Lycée" because it deals with the beginning of co-education for boys and girls in France.
The series was filmed in the commune of Saint-Jean-d'Angély, France, during the 2020 lockdown. The crew and actors stayed in hotels and rental villas that were empty due to COVID restrictions; there were so many vacancies that every filmmaker and actor had their own private toilet and bathroom.
