What's left behind the scenes

At the 7-minute mark of Season 1, Episode 3, when a worker unfurls street banners, it can be noticed that he is wearing a wedding ring on the ring finger of his right hand. In Romania, tradition dictates that rings are worn on the right hand before the wedding, and only during the wedding ceremony do the spouses move the rings to the ring finger of the left hand.
In December 2021, Thora Birch left the project and was replaced by Christina Ricci, which required some scenes to be reshot.
In the German dub, Thing is called 'eiskaltes Händchen,' which translates to 'little ice-cold hand.'
Jenna Ortega choreographed her own dance to the song "Goo Goo Muck" by The Cramps, drawing inspiration from the work of British singer Siouxsie Sioux, choreographer Bob Fosse, and 1980s club music.
Filming took place in Romania.
Wednesday doesn't blink often. She only blinks when she is injured or caught off guard. It all started when she wasn't supposed to blink in a particular scene, and Tim Burton liked it so much that he told Ortega not to blink on camera anymore.
Gomez Addams is usually portrayed on screen as a courteous and handsome character. Director Tim Burton wanted him to be as described by Charles Addams—fat and pig-like.
While preparing for the shoot, Jenna Ortega learned to play the cello and took lessons in canoeing, fencing, archery, and German. According to actress Joy Sunday, the canoeing sessions were particularly difficult—every day for an hour, the cast and some stunt performers raced each other, sometimes starting as early as five-thirty in the morning.
