What's left behind the scenes
- Michael Franzese, a former capo of the Colombo crime family, claims that the incidents shown in the series—where Mickey Cohen's (1913-1976) men shot out the rear window of producer Albert S. Ruddy's car, and where producer Robert Evans (1930-2019) was sent a dead rat—did not happen in reality and are fictional. According to Franzese, Joe Colombo and Cohen had no dealings with each other. That is the first point. Secondly, during the period in question, Cohen was in prison for tax crimes. As for the incident with the dead rat, Franzese states that no head of any film company was ever threatened. Colombo only dealt with Ruddy, and their relationship was respectful.
