Zacarías Gómez Urquiza was a Mexican film director, screenwriter, and assistant director whose career spanned more than three decades during the Golden Age and later years of Mexican cinema. After beginning as a script supervisor and assistant director in the early 1940s, he made his directorial debut in 1950 and went on to direct 40 films across a wide range of genres, including crime, melodrama, westerns, and adventure.
