R.L. Lyone - Director, Writer, Production Design, Sound Designer known for his work in such projects: «Snow Colored Ashes» (2026),

Rose Lukwago, better known by her pen name R.L. Lyone, is a writer, world-builder, and hybrid filmmaker. She originally wanted to be a singer/songwriter and music producer, writing songs and creating compositions using DAW's and MIDI instruments since the age of 16. In her mid-20's, she shifted her focus to business and AI prompt engineering, in which she became proficient in prompting for AI sound design and music composition, AI image generation, and AI video production.

Her professional career began by entering songwriting competitions and working as an intern at the award-winning Cue Recording Studios in 2017. In 2020, she founded the music-entertainment startup Thaideke LLC and completed the UI/UX design for their independent music streaming service and online music store Sonicol. Sonicol was designed to be a comprehensive music and fan community platform specifically created for Generation Z.

In 2024, she made the decision to officially dissolve Thaideke and head in another direction. The main factors in this decision were a Zoom conversation with PledgeMusic's founder Benji Rogers, the shutdown of Live Undiscovered Music (LUM), and the rise of generative AI.

Rose founded Lyone Media Group in 2025 to manage the expanding intellectual property library of her original fictional universe and published the AI micro-short project "Vessel of Mourning" in 48 hours for the Runway Gen:48 competition using various generative AI image, music, and video tools. While the film lost in the competition, this marked the first time her original fictional language, "Senguto", was used in media. She met writer and director Michael Szymczyk as a fellow participant in the competition and went on to briefly work for him as a Generative AI Animator on one of the first narrative AI feature films in history, "The Stranger" (2025).

On April 18, 2026, her first short film, "Snow Colored Ashes," entered the global film festival circuit with its world premiere at the Chicago AI Film Festival and official selection at the AI Movie Awards in Spain. "Snow Colored Ashes" continued to gain international recognition after being nominated for two awards at the Canadian Screen Awards-Qualifying Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF).

Lyone has frequently stated her commitment to upholding the Framework for AI Responsibility (FAIRCodex). And while she uses AI in visual productions, she writes all of her original stories and screenplays without the use of artificial intelligence.
