Polly DiSanders is a transgender artist born in Recife, Brazil, whose work bridges film and literature. Based in Toronto, Canada since 2022, she studied Video Design and Production at George Brown College, where she began developing her career as a filmmaker. Her projects include "Echoes of Reality", "Captured", and "You Saw That Too, Right?", among others, with her primary roles often spanning directing, producing, and production design.

Alongside her work in film, DiSanders is also an established writer in Portuguese, with novels published for Brazilian audiences. Her most recognized literary work is the "Epopeias Nordestinas" saga, a superhero book series published by Flyve that draws on queer experiences, regional culture and storytelling traditions.
