Dick Powis is a medical anthropologist and ethnographic photographer. His film score work is influenced by David Bowie, Nick Cave, Alessandro Cortini, Augustus Muller, Atticus Ross, Trent Reznor, and Tristan Shone. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida who researches masculinity, kinship, and pregnancy in Florida (US) and Senegal (West Africa).
