Antonia Schäfer is a German cinematographer based in London and Cologne and a graduate of the National Film and Television School. She started her career in the lighting and camera departments, working on European film and television productions including the feature films "The Devil’s Bath", "Cuckoo", and "Club Zero". Her films have screened internationally, including "They Made You Into A Weapon And Told You To Find Peace" (Dir.: Roxana Stroe) (EnergaCAMERIMAGE Tadpole nominee 2025, Deutscher Kamerapreis short film nominee 2026), "Two Travelling Aunties" (Dir.: Christine Seow) (Best Student Short, Kashish Pride FF), and "Cicada" (Dir.: Roxana Stroe) (Out on Film, Atlanta). The animation "Me & You & Smoke" (Dir.: Rachel Shiloach) has won the ARTE Short Film Prize 2025 in Munich. Antonia is currently in production on the feature documentary "Das letzte Dorf - Voices from Vakifli". She is a member of Cinematographinnen Rising.
