Isamu Imakake (今掛 勇, Imakake Isamu, April 22, 1968) is an animator, animation director, character and mechanical designer, and anime director. He is from Kagoshima prefecture. He became widely known for his Cowboy Bebop set design. He has been a freelancer in Gainax since 1988 and has been active in manga, book covers and illustrations in the past.
