Futoshi Nishiya (西屋 太志, Nishiya Futoshi, 1982 – July 18, 2019) was a Japanese animator, director and character designer. He worked at Kyoto Animation, where he tragically lost his life in the arson attack on 18 July 2019. He was aged 37.
