Short description
Overqualified and undervalued, Rita is a lawyer at a large firm that is more interested in getting criminals off the hook than bringing them to justice. One day, she is given an unexpected way out, when cartel leader Manitas hires her to help him withdraw from his business and realize a plan he has been secretly preparing for years: to become the woman he has always dreamt of being.

- Selena Gomez (who played Jessie) grew up in Spain, but over the years of her acting career, she has lost much of her language skills. The actress said that she spent six months perfecting her somewhat forgotten linguistic abilities, but even during that time she could not achieve the results that satisfied her. Initially, it was assumed that her character was a native of Mexico, and it was the actress’s insufficient command of Spanish that forced the film's authors to change her origin and make Jessie an American.
