Short description
Zee is a feared contract killer known as "the Queen of the Dead," but when she refuses to murder a young blind woman, she finds herself hunted both by criminal colleagues and a determined police detective.
What's left behind the scenes
- Nicolas Cage wanted to star in the remake, but only if John Woo directed it.
- Walter Hill and David Gale wrote the screenplay for a remake in 1992. Richard Gere and Denzel Washington were planned to star in the film.
- Lupita Nyong'o was initially cast as Zee, but filming had to be postponed due to the 'COVID-19' pandemic. The actress began working on other projects and the role went to Nathalie Emmanuel.
