Short description
A pack of naïve teenagers conspire to murder a mutual friend, whose aggressive demeanor has proved too much.

- The film is based on a book that tells the story of 20-year-old Bobby Kent, who was killed on July 14, 1993, in Florida by six friends. Kent and his family were Iranian. The family moved to the United States during the Iranian Revolution of 1979, when Kent was 6 years old. His real last name is Khayyam.
- Brad Renfro was arrested during filming for attempting to steal a yacht.
- The events on which this film is based occurred in 1993, but the film's action was deliberately not set in 1993. The film takes place in 2000, when it was being filmed.
- In the film, Marty's arrest is carried out by an officer named Frank Illaraza. He is a real police officer who actually arrested Martin Puchcio in 1993. He is credited as "Detective Frank Illaraza, playing himself."
