Short description

A Taiwanese-American man is happily settled in New York with his American boyfriend. He plans a marriage of convenience to a Chinese woman in order to keep his parents off his back and to get the woman a green card. Chaos follows when his parents arrive in New York for the wedding.

What's left behind the scenes

Winston Chao worked as a flight attendant for 7 years and had never acted in a film before. He had to spend 3-4 hours a day learning the basics of acting.
The first half of the film is based on a true story and the life of director Ang Lee's friend.
