Short description

Mulder and Scully, now taken off the FBI's X Files cases, must find a way to fight the shadowy elements of the government to find out the truth about a conspiracy that might mean the alien colonization of Earth.

What's left behind the scenes

Konrad Straghold (portrayed by Armin Mueller-Stahl) was named after the real Hubertus Strughold, a Nazi medical researcher who conducted experiments on prisoners at the Dachau concentration camp during World War II.
The events of the film take place between the 5th and 6th seasons of the series.
The final scene of the film was shot in the same locations where Lucas worked on "Star Wars" during the Tatooine episodes.
