Short description
Alice and Louis are brother and sister. She is an actress; he was a teacher and poet. For more than 20 years, Alice has hated her brother. In all this time they haven’t seen one another. The death of their parents brings the siblings face to face.
What's left behind the scenes
- Throughout the entire filming period, Marion Cotillard (who played Alice) did not say a single word to Melvil Poupon, the actor playing her brother Louis. The actress's partner disliked this immensely, and it was only after filming ended that she apologized and explained that she had behaved this way solely to heighten the mutual antipathy that their characters experienced according to the script.
