Short description

American tourists David and Jack are savaged by an unidentified vicious animal whilst hiking on the Yorkshire Moors. Retiring to the home of a beautiful nurse to recuperate, David soon experiences disturbing changes to his mind and body.

The director saw David Noton in an advertisement for Dr. Pepper and invited him to play the role of David Kessler.
Michael Jackson liked the film very much, so he invited Landis to direct the music video for “Thriller,” resulting in a 14-minute video that is still considered one of the best music videos of all time.
John Landis first sketched out the script back in 1969, when he was 18 years old. But then there was no money for filming, and sponsors considered the idea for the film too risky. After making the successful film “The Blues Brothers” in 1980, Landis easily found the necessary $10 million.
The director spotted David Newton in a Dr Pepper commercial and cast him as David Kessler.
