Short description

A 1950s London cleaning lady falls in love with an haute couture dress by Christian Dior and decides to gamble everything for the sake of this folly.

What's left behind the scenes

Costume designer Jenny Beavan used the Dior archives, which contained the designer's original notebooks, working notes and sketches, to recreate the Dior dresses shown in the film. Some of them were vintage Dior models rented for the film, some were copies, and some were new models created in the Dior style.
