What's left behind the scenes
- The oxygen tanks in the film are canisters for collecting frightened screams from the movie "Monsters, Inc." (2001).
- James Brolin admitted that he hadn't watched the previous films in the "Toy Story" franchise, so he knew absolutely nothing about its characters.
- The American Film Association gave the film a "PG" rating (children are recommended to watch the film with parents), while the four previous films in the franchise received a G rating (the film is shown without restrictions) at the time. In Singapore, the film received an NC16 rating – equivalent to an R rating (persons under the age of 17 are only allowed to watch the film accompanied by one of their parents or legal guardian) – due to a short scene with a kiss between same-sex characters.
