Short description

The history and adventures of the Battlestar Pegasus, from shortly before the Cylon invasion to shortly after Lee Adama is made commander. The story is told through the eyes of and largely focuses on one particular member of Pegasus's crew, Kendra Shaw.

What's left behind the scenes

  • When Nico Samano arrived in Vancouver to film as young Bill Adama, he was given the first two seasons of the series to watch. Samano locked himself in his hotel room all weekend and reviewed the footage, studying Edward James Olmos' performance and trying to imagine a "younger version" of him in order to more convincingly portray his character on screen.
  • The uniforms were specifically made to resemble those worn in the "Battlestar Galactica" (1978-1979) television series.
  • In the early stages of work on the film, it was planned to reveal the character of Sam Anders in a flashback, a storyline that was ultimately cut from the final version. This idea had to be abandoned due to financial and time constraints.
  • Before its television premiere, "Battlestar Galactica: Razor" had a limited theatrical release in some cities. A full theatrical release was impossible due to legal reasons. "Universal Studios" owned the rights to the "Battlestar Galactica" franchise, but the rights to distribute films belonged to Glen A. Larson, the creator of the original elements of the franchise (cinematic and television) from the 1970s. Therefore, a theatrical release required Larson's approval.
