Short description

- Director and screenwriter Richard Tanne decided to cast Austin Abrams as Henry after seeing Abrams' performance in Mike White's drama "Bradley's Status" (2017).
- The Latin phrase "Serva Me Servabo Te" translates as "save me, and I will save you".
- Richard Tanne enjoyed Crystal Sutherland's novel 'Our Chemical Hearts' (2016) so much that he began adapting it for the screen even before officially acquiring the rights. The author liked the screenplay Tanne wrote and granted him the film rights.
