Short description

In New York, a gambler is challenged to take a Salvation Army missionary to Havana, and unexpectedly they fall for each other. And the bet has a hidden motive ... classic song and dance ensues!

What's left behind the scenes

  • Frank Sinatra (1915-1998) was furious that the lead role in the musical film was given to Marlon Brando (1924-2004), who couldn't sing, and sometimes called his co-star "mumblemouth".
  • Marlon Brando spent hours in the studio recording songs over and over. In the end, the songs performed by him had to be compiled from numerous takes.
