Short description

Jared, the son of a Baptist pastor in a small American town, is outed to his parents at age 19. Jared is faced with an ultimatum: attend a gay conversion therapy program – or be permanently exiled and shunned by his family, friends, and faith.

What's left behind the scenes

The first joint project of Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe, who are good friends. In 2005, Kidman and Crowe were planning to star in Jocelyn Moorhouse's adaptation of Murray Bail's 1998 Australian novel 'Eucalyptus,' but the film was never released. Since then, the actors have been looking for a project in which they could appear together.
