Short description

Five random strangers find themselves trapped in an elevator in the World Trade Center's North Tower on 9/11. They work together, never giving up hope, to try to escape before the unthinkable happens.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The story about the elevator and people trapped inside is a product of imagination. Nothing like that happened during the September 11, 2001 tragedy. In reality, several people were trapped in an elevator cabin, but they quickly broke through the drywall and escaped, as it turned out, into a bathroom, after which they immediately rushed to the building's exit. A few more people were locked in an elevator on the second floor of one of the buildings. They were rescued and managed to get outside before the buildings collapsed. The dramatic story mentioned in the film was invented by its authors.
