In a series of escalating encounters, former security guard David Dunn uses his supernatural abilities to track Kevin Wendell Crumb, a disturbed man who has twenty-four personalities. Meanwhile, the shadowy presence of Elijah Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

- The majority of the film was shot in a former psychiatric hospital located in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
- The film was shot from a 134-page screenplay in 39 days. Filming began on October 2, 2017.
- The comic book theme first appeared in M. Night Shyamalan's first film in the trilogy, "Unbreakable" (2000). The use of alliteration (the repetition of one or more consonants to give the text greater expressiveness) is constantly found in the names of characters from previous films (Peter Parker, Bruce Banner, etc.). Here, it is the superhero David Dunn and the supervillain Kevin Crumb.
- The scriptwriter and director M. Night Shyamalan drew inspiration from the comics "Saga", "Sandcastle", and others.
- According to the original script, Kevin was supposed to be a supervillain that David would have to fight, but the director realized in time that he wouldn't be able to fit everything into a single film. Therefore, Kevin became the hero of a separate film, and "Glass" completed the trilogy.
