Short description

Queen Poppy and Branch make a surprising discovery — there are other Troll worlds beyond their own, and their distinct differences create big clashes between these various tribes. When a mysterious threat puts all of the Trolls across the land in danger, Poppy, Branch, and their band of friends must embark on an epic quest to create harmony among the feuding Trolls to unite them against certain doom.

When Barb plays the guitar with six magical strings, the sequence of chords she plays is copied from the composition "Skull Beneath The Skin" by the American thrash metal band Megadeth.
The appearance of the heroine, voiced by singer and actress Kelly Clarkson, is based on country singer and actress Dolly Parton.
The character Hickory, voiced by Sam Rockwell, is introduced as a country troll, though he is actually a yodel troll (yodeling is a special style of singing without words). This music was performed by, for example, Roy Rogers (1911-1998). It is still performed by the group Sons of the Pioneers.
