Short description

What's left behind the scenes

A film adaptation of the fourth part of the multi-volume novel of the same name about the adventures of Angélique, written by Anne and Serge Golon.
The film was shot almost entirely in Italy, mainly in Sardinia. Scenes at the slave market were filmed in the city of Sidi Bou Said (Tunisia).
The film "Indomitable Angelique," combined with the sequel "Angelique and the Sultan," was released in Soviet cinemas in 1987 under the title "Indomitable Marquise."
