Short description

American gunslinger Sean Rafferty—aka The Montana Kid—is unable to find someone to duel in a Canadian town where no one understands the brutal code of the American Wild West.

What's left behind the scenes

The film is dedicated to the memory of two horses that appeared in it. Both animals were killed by a lightning strike a few weeks after filming had concluded.
Lead actor Paul Gross performed all the stunts with the .45 caliber Colt himself. The film's budget was too modest to hire a specialist for this, and Gross spent hours practicing the stunts before filming.
Paul Gross had hair extensions added. The idea that his character would look better with long hair was his own. In an interview, he once admitted that while it was great for the first day, he later grew tired of pulling hairs out of his plate.
The handwritten will consists of verbatim excerpts from the will of George Washington (1732-1799) and includes, in particular, the word 'Imprimis', which translates from Latin as 'firstly'.
