Short description

A private investigator helps a former flame solve the murder of her wealthy grandfather, who lived in a sprawling estate surrounded by his idiosyncratic family.

What's left behind the scenes

The lobby and staircase were filmed at Rotham Park, an estate in Hertfordshire. Robert Altman also filmed the historical detective story "Gosford Park", written by Julian Fellowes, there. Fellowes also wrote the screenplay for "Murder on the Orient Express".
The scenes in the Cairo club were filmed at the Hammersmith Apollo entertainment center in London.
