Short description

In 1967, during the making of “La Chinoise,” film director Jean-Luc Godard falls in love with 19-year-old actress Anne Wiazemsky and marries her.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The film features a meeting between Godard and Bernardo Bertolucci, with Godard being played by Louis Garrel, whose role in Bertolucci’s “The Dreamers” was his breakthrough into mainstream cinema.
  • Jean-Luc Godard himself called filming this movie a “stupid, stupid idea.”
