Producer Beatrice Bodegas mortgaged her own house to raise the funds needed for the film's production.
The voice of the character played by Manolo Solo was invented during a break between rehearsals when the actors were just fooling around, but director Raúl Arévalo liked it so much that he asked Solo to speak that way on set.
The project took 8 years to develop because the director and one of the scriptwriters, Raúl Arévalo, had a clear idea of the actors he wanted in the film, wanted to shoot only on 16mm film, which is more expensive, and refused to change anything in the plot to make it more mainstream. Work on the film only began after Arevalo and producer Beatriz Bodegas worked together on the comedy “Unexpected Life” (Jorge Torregrossa, 2013).
