Short description
A recently divorced young man discovers a mint condition Blade doll in his deceased brother's closet and plans to sell the toy at a convention in Oregon celebrating the 30th anniversary of the infamous Toulon Murders. All hell breaks loose during the auction when a strange force animates all of the puppets throughout the convention, setting them on a bloody killing spree.
What's left behind the scenes
- According to the producers, the film takes place in a parallel universe. That is why Toulon is a Nazi here, and not an opponent of the Third Reich, as in previous films in the franchise.
- Barbara Crampton stars in the film, having previously appeared in the original "Puppet Master" (David Schmoeller, 1989).
- One of the new dolls has many hands, a reference to a character from several previous films.
- The 'Happy Amphibian' doll replaced the Jester, so it is wearing a jester's outfit.
