Short description

Ramona is a little girl with a very big imagination and a nose for mischief. Her playful antics keep everyone in her loving family on their toes, including her older sister Beezus, who's just trying to survive her first year of high school. Through all the ups and downs of childhood, Ramona and Beezus learn that anything's possible when you believe in yourself and rely on each other.

The film is based on the novella by Beverly Cleary, "Ramona and Beezus" (1955).
Initially, Ramona and Beezus were secondary characters in Beverly Cleary's series of children's books, where Henry Higgins was the main character. A total of six works were published as part of this series from 1950 to 1964. The first book dedicated specifically to the sisters Ramona and Beezus appeared between them (in 1955), and then another seven novellas were published between 1968 and 1999.
