Short description

Charly Matteï has turned his back on his life as an outlaw. For the last three years, he's led a peaceful life devoting himself to his wife and two children. Then, one winter morning, he's left for dead in the parking garage in Marseille's Old Port, with 22 bullets in his body. Against all the odds, he doesn't die...

What's left behind the scenes

  • The film is based on the novel "The Immortal" (L'Immortel, 2007) by Franz-Olivier Ghiber.
  • The film is based on real events. In France, in Marseille, lived Jacques Imbert, known as Jacky le Mat (“The Crazy One”) nicknamed le Matou. On February 1, 1977, he was shot with 22 bullets, more precisely, 7 bullets of 11.43 caliber and 15 pellets. However, the film is not a biographical narrative, as all other events in it are fictional.
