Short description

Rachel Watson, devastated by her recent divorce, spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds.

Kate Mara was cast as Megan but later left the project. She was eventually replaced by Haley Bennett.
Jared Leto was considered for the role of Scott, but he was busy with another project. He was replaced by Luke Evans.
Both Emily Blunt and Rebecca Ferguson have appeared in blockbusters with Tom Cruise. Blunt in Edge of Tomorrow (2014), and Ferguson in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015).
